Here at WRPS we teach a fun, inclusive and diverse Physical Education program, with the aim of creating a lifelong love for physical activity by developing student’s Fundamental Motor Skills and giving them experience in a range of sports and activities.
Students participate once a week in a structured and sequential Physical Education program, beginning with PMP in Foundation all the way through to Grade 6. We cover each of the Fundamental Movement skills, as well as giving students exposure to the different game categories which include Invasion, Target, Striking and Fielding and Net and Wall Games.
Each year we hold a House Cross Country and Athletics Carnival, with students given the opportunity to compete at the district level and beyond. Some of the other programs that we run during the year include Jump Rope for Heart, Bike Education, Hoop Time and Lightning Prems where senior school students can compete against other schools.
