A message from the Office: 

Sunday 3rd November:        Bunnings BBQ No. 2 - Volunteers required.   

Tuesday 5th November:       Melbourne Cup Day Public Holiday. NO School

Tuesday 19th November:    Spanish Cultural Day.  

Tuesday 17th December:     Yr 6 Graduation

Wednesday was a busy day with 2020 foundation students & parents coming for transition, year 3/4 campers returning and school finishing all within a one hour period at the end of the day.

We thank all families for their patience at pick up time each day and remind families that if they are going to be more than 15 minutes late to collect their children please let the admin team know.  Children are under the school’s supervision for 15 minutes after dismissal each day and parents who are running more than 15 minutes late need to make alternative care arrangements or have their children registered with YMCA so they can attend there.

Please bring a school hat with your name on it! Remember - NO HAT, NO PLAY

4th of December - Peter Coombe concert. Information to come.

On Wednesdays, we will be running our 2020 Foundation transition. Your child will be dismissed by the Specialist teachers in a location other than their usual classroom. Please see Compass, SeeSaw, classroom door or speak to your child's Teacher for more information. Thank you.

A message from the Foundation Team

We have begun our swimming program. We noticed that there were lots of unnamed clothing/bags last Thursday. Please ensure all items brought to school are named and please bring an extra snack for when we arrive back to school. Also please keep practising getting dressed at home! The more practise we have, the easier it is at swimming!

A message from the 1 Team

What a week it has been in Year 1! On Friday, students wore red tops and participated in Day for Daniel, we spoke about how we feel when we are unsafe and identified 5 adults that we can ask for help. School swimming has started, you are more than welcome to come and watch your child swim at Casey Race. We also learned about the cultural celebration of Diwali and we created our own oil lamps.

A reminder from Year 2 that swimming is everyThursday for the next few weeks! Make sure you come dressed and ready with your swimmers underneath your Wilandra Rise uniform. 


Our Term 4 LEGOLAND excursion is now on Compass. The Year 2 students are very excited to learn all about what toys are made of and how moveable parts work!

A message from the 3/4 Team

Our first campers headed off to Waratah Beach Camp on Monday and were full of excitement. We are sure there will be some tired students… and teachers!... tonight but all have had a wonderful time. Our second campers head off in week 6. Thank you to everyone for supporting our Day for Danel on Friday. It was wonderful to see all of the red clothing around the school.

A message from the 5/6 Team

It has been a hectic week in the Year 5/6 Learning Communities. On Friday the school held a fundraising day in honor of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to raise awareness of the importance of child safety in the community. It was amazing to see so many students and staff wearing red on the day. The school swimming program commenced and students attended the annual school disco. Also, the students engaged in an afternoon of learning about the cultural celebration of Diwali.

Last Wednesday Wilandra Rise competed in the St Margarets cup for the very first time.  

The girls played 8 matches during the day and came away with 7 wins.  Finishing 3rd overall out of 14 teams, the girls had a wonderful experience and played like true champions.  Every player displayed good sportsmanship and worked hard to support each other. They should all be very proud of their efforts.  

Community Group

Bunnings BBQ - Sunday 3rd November

We are hosting our second Bunnings BBQ at the new Clyde North store this Sunday 3rd November from 9am-5pm. Please come down with your families and support our school by buying a sausage or 6! Hope to see lots of familiar faces on the day!


Christmas Raffle Donations

 It’s that time of year again…Christmas is just around the corner and we need your amazing prize donations for our Christmas Raffle to be drawn at the end of the year.

Do you have a home-based business selling awesome products you’d like to donate? We would love to feature your products and what better way to get word out about your business than with a bit of free advertising!

 We would appreciate any donations of new gifts, toys, vouchers, non-perishable foods etc., to add to the hampers.

All donations can be dropped off at the office.


School Disco

A BIG shout out to all the amazing parents and teachers that helped supervise our school disco last Friday night. It was a huge success and a great night was had by all. Big events such as these are only made possible with your help and support, so thank you all so much!
